I don’t think there’s anything wrong with installing homebrew into your NixOS system if that heroes you get stuff done

For me I like iterating on my home lab so it’s nice knowing I 100% did not forget that I left some port open or service running, it’s all nicely defined in a configuration module I set up.

There’s a low chance I’m going to reuse my configs, but it’s nice I have the option.

Probably the biggest value is it’s all written down nicely in a structured and documented system instead of my old sub folders of just/makefiles and bash scripts and’s inlined configuration.

Then there’s also nice stuff: my config also defines a dashboard for checking the status of my services (when I add a new service, it regenerates as the service is added automatically), I can see which users I created to run in containers, i can experiment with a new desktop environment and just comment out a block to go back.

I tried Dark Souls and I tried Demon Souls.

It’s not my thing, but I’m glad they are a lot of other people’s cup of tea

The ID.Buzz is in my opinion the posterchild for “we have to make EV look different” era of design.

For decades though they didn’t bother to invest when they could have. For a decade since Tesla proved there was a viable a market they didn’t do much more than token effort (ugly plastic Evs, not innovating in the tech at all)

As much as I hate Elon Musk at least he did get the EV industry legitimized.

Yes, the batteries were always expensive, but VW frankly didn’t see to even try to innovate on EVs, so I think this is largely self-inflicted pain by management reluctant to try anything new.

I don’t think this user knows much about git works. I don’t think this is nefarious or “vibe coding” as it’s colloquially known to be. It’s a bit much to describe all LLM use blindly as vibe coding, when vibe coding usually means just blanket accepting AI content.
