Well, they literally just admitted to being capricious and prejudicial, which is kind of a slam dunk for getting a judge to grant an injunction against a federal action.

Then again, our courts are absolutely fucked six ways from Sunday, so who the fuck even knows anymore.

Wow, so uh, that’s gonna come out to fractions of a cent on the dollar, in terms of actual revenue generated from flagrant copyright violations.

It is deeply infuriating how fundamentally our society is designed to protect of people and organizations that are already blindingly wealthy.

Canada’s excuse is “we’re roughly as big as the US but have a way smaller population and GDP. I really don’t think it’d be financially justifiable for them to build a rail equivalent to the trans-Canadian highway. It’d be a non-starter in a political sense.

The US, on the other hand… yeah. We genuinely have no excuse.
