  • These horses are living wild (feral) in a protected natural area with nice beaches to sunbathe on and no natural predators. (At least no natural predators for the adults. And, for the most part, the adults are able to protect young ones.)

Yes, for the most part, these horses are living exceptionally good horsey lives. Far more fortunate than most horses.

(Though there definitely are some downsides. There’s nobody to take care of them if they get injured or sick, nobody to give them dewormer and rid them of parasites, nobody to feed them during times when food is running short. On average, they’re probably not living quite as long as a well cared-for domestic horse. But maybe the freedom to roam and reproduce as they choose makes up for that, as the vast majority of domestic horses are not allowed to do either of those on their own volition.)

  • Don’t spend your own money on a friend or family member’s pet project unless you’re willing to consider that money a gift if you need to.

The ‘cousin’ part is the part that’s tripping him up here. Any other business venture telling you “I can only afford to pay you if you redo it” could be met with a retort of, “That isn’t the terms of our contract. If payment is not rendered according to our contract, I’ll be seeing you in court.”

  • Dale explained that Flock cameras had been instrumental in a To Catch a Predator style sting operation Irmo PD conducted. “During an internet crimes against children operation hosted by a department, 15 adults traveled to our community believing they were coming to meet children for sexual activity," Dale said. “Fourteen of those 15 suspects were not from our jurisdiction.”

This really doesn’t explain how the cameras were useful for that.

Why would you need cameras for that?

  • he is the only one allowed to post in the community

Huge red flag there. Generally best to just block the community as soon as you see that.

Unless the community is specifically and explicitly serving just as someone’s personal blog or a business’s announcement account or something, the whole “only I can post here!” shit is a huge warning sign that the community’s admin is a thin-skinned douchebag.
