  • Somewhere lower in this thread I explained(my opinion) why this dev has used this tactic of expressing points of view instead of simply presenting a modifiable, clearly visible and documented filter with a default option, that represents views of this dev. I don’t say that this dev is right, but I can understand the logic and motivation that were used to do so. And, yes, I can also be wrong. I don’t deny it.

  • You can do pretty much the same, toxic person.

It doesn’t take much time to figure out the rules here once you get used around and browse communities/modlog a few months deep. And it became clear to me, that there exist a lot of red flag moderators, whom it is reasonable to avoid engaging with. And also there exist other situation: when mod is relatevely OK, but the community itself is awful.

So, counter-question: you are seriously telling me that mods of blahaj instance don’t ban(especially permanently) on spot for any criticism/phobia towards LGBTQ+ community?

  • That is the whole point. Clearly visible, easily editible filter list about which it is clearly stated in documentation was the right thing to do. But, it wasn’t an effective solution, since most admins would have changed this list almost immediately resulting in very small efficiency of this filter, compared to what was initially intended. And since this dev explicitly wanted to affect maximum amount of people for maximum amount of time, this solution was better. Many people naively think that others would play by the rules delivering their revenge/justice or whatever, but this is not how it usually happens.
